Prepare your camera device

Allow camera access when prompted, and microphone access if using audio.
Stay connected to reliable Wi-Fi.
Keep connected to a suitable charger during monitoring.
Turn on Do Not Disturb to reduce notification interruptions.
Keep the camera page open and the screen awake.

iPhone / iPad settings

Set Auto-Lock to Never, if available.
Turn Low Power Mode off.
For quick access, use Safari's Share menu and choose Add to Home Screen.

Android settings

Choose the longest available screen timeout and keep the screen awake.
Turn Battery Saver off.
Enable Auto-rotate in Quick Settings for landscape positioning.
For quick access, use the browser menu's Add to Home screen option, if available.

Locking the screen or switching apps can pause the camera. Return here and tap Resume camera if needed. A Home Screen shortcut does not keep the camera running in the background.

Position your camera

Clean the lens and secure the device with a clear view.
Secure the phone in a stable position, away from a child's reach.
Keep charging connections dry and watch for overheating. A mount does not make the device weatherproof.
Use a ventilated position. Do not use a device with a swollen battery or a damaged charger.
Open Nianza Nursery and check live view before leaving the device monitoring.
